Margaret Alva

Margaret Alva (née Nazareth; born 14 April 1942) is an Indian politician. Alva was the 17th Governor of Goa, 23rd Governor of Gujarat, 20th Governor of Rajasthan and 4th Governor of Uttarakhand.

In July 2022, the United Progressive Alliance nominated her as its vice presidential nominee in the 2022 election.^[2] She lost the election to Jagdeep Dhankhar the following month.
