Chilean writer From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Luis Sepúlveda Calfucura (October 4, 1949 – April 16, 2020) was a Chilean writer and journalist.[1]
In 1988 he won the Tigre Juan Award for his novel Un viejo que leía novelas de amor,[2] and in 2009 he won the Premio Primavera de Novela for his novel La sombra de lo que fuimos.[3]
On March 1, 2020, he was confirmed as the first man in the Asturias, Spain infected by COVID-19, following travel in Portugal.[4] He died from the infection on April 16, 2020.[5]
