Lautaro, Chile

Lautaro is a city and commune in the Cautín Province, Chile. It is part of the Araucanía Region. The city is named in honor of Lautaro, Mapuche leader (toqui) during the War of Arauco. In the 2002 census, 32,218 people lived there.
