Jean-Paul Troadec (born October 14, 1948 in Saint-Renan, Finistère, France) is a French aerospace engineer. He is the current head of the French Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile,[2] the France aviation accident investigation bureau.

Graduate from École Polytechnique (1967) and French Civil Aviation University (1970)[3] he has done a career of 25 years at the French civil aviation authorities.[4] From 1985 till 1993, he was head of the Service d'exploitation de la formation aéronautique.[5]
He was nominated head of the Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile in 2009, succeeding Paul-Louis Arslanian.[6]
