Jean-Paul Belmondo (9 April 1933 – 6 September 2021) was a French actor. He was popular during the New Wave of the 1960s.

Belmondo died on 6 September 2021 at his home in Paris, aged 88.[1]
Belmondo was a Commandeur of the Ordre national du Mérite[2] He was also Commandeur of the Légion d'honneur.[3]
He received a Career Achievement award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards.[4]
