Jacques Diouf (1 August 1938 – 17 August 2019) was a Senegalese diplomat. He was the Director-General of the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) from January 1994 to 31 December 2011. Diouf was born in Saint-Louis, Senegal.
Diouf died on 17 August 2019 in Paris after a long-illness, 16 days after his 81st birthday.[1]
