Jabba the Hutt is a fictional character and a minor antagonist in the Star Wars franchise. He was a crime lord who operated from Tatooine. Jabba is a male who is part of the Hutt species. Jabba first appeared in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi where he was killed by Princess Leia Organa during the rescue of Han Solo. Jabba had placed a bounty on Han Solo's head after Han failed to deliver a shipment. The bounty hunter, Boba Fett captured Han and brought him to Jabba. Jabba also appeared in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace where he was at the Boonta Eve podrace.[1]
