Invader Zim

Invader Zim, branded as Invader ZIM, is an American animated children's television series. The series was a science fiction black comedy. It was broadcast by Nickelodeon. The series premiered on March 30, 2001. It ended on August 19, 2006. The series has high cost to make and it was made for children. Nickelodeon cancelled the series on January 17, 2002. This was before the second season was finished. The rest of the completed episodes were made available on DVD on October 12, 2004.

Overview

The series is about the eponymous alien from the planet Irk. The aliens that live on that planet participate in an event called "Operation Impending Doom 2". After failing the event, Zim is determined to prove himself to his leader. He plans to do this by conquering Earth. However, they only sent him to the planet as a "secret mission" to get rid of him.
