Gigantspinosaurus (meaning "giant-spined lizard") is a mediun-sized stegosaur from the Upper Jurassic. It was found in Sichuan, China. It was only about 4.2 metres (14 ft) long and 700 kilograms (1,500 lb) in weight. The animal had greatly enlarged shoulder spines.

A study suggested that Gigantspinosaurus is the most basal known member of the Stegosauria.[1][2]
