Giancarlo Esposito (born April 26, 1958)[1] is an American actor, director and producer. He played Buggin' Out in Do the Right Thing. He played Left Hand Lacey in Mo' Better Blues. He also played Julian in School Daze, Gus in Breaking Bad and Akela in The Jungle Book.

Esposito was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to an African-American mother and Italian father. He was raised in Manhattan, New York City from age six.
