Courken George "Duke" Deukmejian, Jr. (/djuːkˈmeɪdʒən/;[1] June 6, 1928 – May 8, 2018) was an American politician. He was a member of the Republican Party.

He was the 35th Governor of California from 1983 to 1991. He was also California Attorney General from 1979 to 1983.
Deukmejian died at his home in Long Beach, California on May 8, 2018 at the age of 89.[2]
