Frederic Rzewski

Frederic Anthony Rzewski (/ˈʒɛfski/ ZHEF-skee; April 13, 1938 – June 26, 2021) was an American composer and pianist. He was known for adding political themes onto his music. His best known works were Coming Together and the piano versions of The People United Will Never Be Defeated!.[1] He was born in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Rzewski died on June 26, 2021 at the age of 83.[2]
