Edward M. Bruner (September 28, 1924 – August 7, 2020) was an American anthropologist and educator. He was born in New York City. He worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His book Culture on Tour: Ethnographies of Travel[1] was his best-known book. His works focused on Toba Batak migrants in Indonesia in the 1960s.
Bruner died on August 7, 2020 in Urbana, Illinois at the age of 95.[2]
