Background
Gutiérrez currently wrestles for WWE, where he competes on the Raw brand under the ring name Dominik Mysterio and is the current Intercontinental Champion in his first reign. He is a member of the stable The Judgment Day with Finn Bálor, Liv Morgan, JD Mcdonagh, Raquel Rodriguez and Carlito. During his WWE career, Gutiérrez has been a two-time NXT North American Champion, a one-timeIntercontinental Champion and one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion. He is a third-generation professional wrestler. His father is Rey Mysterio and his great-uncle was Rey Misterio.

Before becoming a professional wrestler, Gutiérrez appeared on WWE programming with his father Rey Mysterio. During a storyline with his father and Eddie Guerrero, Guerrero said that he was the father of Dominik. Guerrero and Rey fought in a ladder match for the custody of Dominik at the "SummerSlam" which Rey won.[2]
Mysterio made his in-ring debut at the "SummerSlam" on August 23, 2020 where he was defeated by Seth Rollins in a street fight.[3] On August 30, Mysterio got his first victory in WWE at Payback where he teamed with his father to defeat Rollins and Murphy.[4]
At WrestleMania Backlash on May 16, 2021, Mysterio and his father defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. This was Dominik's first WWE championship and the first time that a father and son tag team became champions in the WWE.[5] They later lost the titles to The Usos at "Money in the Bank".[6]
Dominik, his father and Edge started feuding with The Judgment Day after they kicked Edge out and kept trying to have Dominik join them for months. At the "Clash at the Castle", Dominik attacked Edge and his father after their victory and joined The Judgment Day, becoming a heel for the first time.[7]
On the July 18, 2023 episode of NXT, Dominik won his first singles title, defeating Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship.[8] On September 30 at the "No Mercy", Mysterio lost the title to Trick Williams.[9] On the October 3 episode of NXT, Mysterio was able to win the championship back when he defeated Williams.[10] At the "NXT Deadline", Mysterio lost the title to Dragon Lee.[11]
Personal life
On January 2, 2023, he got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Marie Juliette.[12]
