Disney Television Animation (DTVA) is the part of Disney Channels Worldwide that produces animated programs for television. It creates, develops, and produces animated television series, films, specials and other projects.

This part of the company was started in 1984, as the Walt Disney Pictures Television Animation Group. This was part of a reorganization of The Walt Disney Company after Michael Eisner became CEO. The name was changed twice before 2011, when it became Disney Television Animation.[3]
