County Offaly (Irish: Contae Uíbh Fhailí) is a county of Ireland. County Offaly is in the province of Leinster. It is named after the old kingdom of Uí Failghe. The population of County Offaly is 76,687 as of 2011.[1]

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) estimates that the rise in population in 2006 had 2,026 natural people and 5,179 people who migrated from both Ireland and the world.

In the 2011 census, 35.7% (27,378) were under the age of 25 and 11.6% (8,909) of people over the age of 65.
