Stella Rose Bennett[1] (born 30 January 2000),[2][3] known professionally as Benee is a New Zealand singer-songwriter from Grey Lynn, Auckland. She is best known for her songs "Soaked", "Glitter", and "Supalonely" and has released two extended plays Fire on Marazz and Stella & Steve. In 2019, Benee won Best Solo Artist and Best Pop Artist at the New Zealand Music Awards.[4]

According to the Straits Times, people like to think of "Supalonely" as a song for the COVID-19 pandemic, even though Benee says she wrote it as a breakup song.[4]
