Angkor Wat (Khmer: អង្គរវត្ត) is a temple complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was built in the early 12th century by the Hindu king Suryavarman II as his state temple and capital city, dedicated to the god Vishnu. Later, it became a Buddhist site. It is the largest religious monument in the world. Angkor fell into decline after the 14th century.[1]
