general Election in Quebec From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 2003 Quebec general election was held on October 3. Jean Charest's Quebec Liberal Party won a majority of seats and Bernard Landry's Parti Québécois formed the opposition.[1] In the Champlain electoral district, there was a tie between PQ candidate Noëlla Champagne and Liberal candidate Pierre-A. Brouillette. A new election was held on May 20 and was won by Champagne by 642 votes.[2][3]
