Wertach

Wertach is a small town in the Oberallgäu district, southern Bavaria, Germany. It is in the German Alps. It is on the river Wertach, southeast of Kempten. The town was the childhood home of the writer W. G. Sebald. It was first mentioned in 955. It received town status in 1423. In March 2014, Eberhard Jehle became mayor [2]
