From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Genderqueer is an umbrella term that includes all gender identities that fall into the spectrum between the male and female end points or that reject gender completely. [1]
Fashion is defined as a popular style of clothing, hair, decoration, or behaviour. [2]
Therefore, genderqueer fashion can be considered as a style that goes beyond the common fashion conventions that usually associate certain colours and shapes with one of the two binary genders. Genderqueer fashion aims to be perceived by consumers as a fashion style that focuses on experimenting garments based on people’s different body shapes instead of following the restrictions given by gendered clothing categorization.
