Surat is a city in the State of Gujarat, India. It is on the banks of the Tapti river. Surat used to be a large seaport. It is the eighth largest city in India.[1] According to the 2020 reports on the ‘cleanest cities of India’, Surat ranked second out of 4,242 cities in India.[2]
