Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) is a lunar lander mission of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The lunar lander came to the Moon in January 2024.[1] Systems on the lander are known to have (operated or) been working, as late as April 2024.

As a result of the lunar landing, Japan became the 5th country to soft land on the surface of the Moon.[2][3]
