Richmond (Yorks) is a constituency of the UK Parliament [note 1] in North Yorkshire. Since May 2015 it has been represented by Rishi Sunak. Sunak is the current leader of the Conservative Party, and the current Prime Minister.[note 2] Sunak replaced William Hague, who also served as Conservative Party leader. Hague was leader between 1997 and 2001. He was also Leader of the Opposition when Tony Blair was Prime Minister. Before Hague, Leon Brittan represented the constituency.
