General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Thai: ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา; born 21 March 1954) used to be a Thai army officer and was the Prime Minister of Thailand from 2014 to 2023. He was Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army.[1]

On 24 August, the Constitutional Court of Thailand suspended Prayut as prime minister, however Prayut still claims to be prime minister.[2] As the most senior deputy prime minister, Prawit Wongsuwan was made acting prime minister.[3] He became prime minister again from September 2022 to August 2023.
