Nobuhiko Obayashi (大林 宣彦, Ōbayashi Nobuhiko, January 9, 1938 – April 10, 2020) was a Japanese director, screenwriter and editor. He was born in Onomichi, Hiroshima, Japan.[1][2] He was best known as the director of the 1977 horror movie House.[3] His other best movies are Toki o Kakeru Shōjo and Hanagatami.

Obayashi died on April 10, 2020 in Tokyo of lung cancer at the age of 82.[4][5][6]
