Mahdia Governorate (Tunisian Arabic: ولاية المهدية Wilāyat Mahdīya) is one of the twenty-four governorates of Tunisia. It is in the central-eastern part of the country. It covers an area of 2,966 km².[1] As of the 2014 census, 410,812 people lived there.[2][3] The capital is Mahdia.
