Maaninka is a former municipality in the middle of Northern Savonia, Finland. It had over 3,750 people living there in January 2014. The municipalities next to it are Iisalmi, Kuopio, Lapinlahti, Pielavesi, Siilinjärvi and Tervo.

History

Maaninka was established in 1872.[1] It was merged with the city of Kuopio on 1 January 2015.
