Gallo-Italic language spoken in the Italian region of Lombardy / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lombard is a Gallo-Romance language,[6] in a linguistic continuum[7][8] it is spoken by millions of people in Northern Italy and Southern Switzerland, most of Lombardy and some areas of Piedmont and the western side of Trentino, and in Switzerland in the cantons of Ticino and Graubünden.[7] Lombard dialects are also heard in Santa Catarina in Brazil.[4][8]
