Keir Starmer

Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB KC MP (born 2 September 1962) is a British politician who has served as the 19th leader of the Labour Party and the 35th Leader of the Opposition since 2020. Since 2015, he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Holborn and St Pancras, a constituency of the UK Parliament in Inner London. Starmer has been re-elected as the constituency's MP in the 2017 general election, and 2019 general election.

Starmer was the Shadow Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union in Jeremy Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet. He was Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013.[1]
