Julia Scarlett Elizabeth Louis-Dreyfus (born January 13, 1961) is an American actress[1] of partly Jewish descent.[2]

Louis-Dreyfus is best known for her role as "Elaine Benes" in the television series Seinfeld. She is also noted for her work in other television programs and in movies. She also starred on the situation comedy The New Adventures of Old Christine. She also starred in the HBO show "Veep" where she played Selina Meyer, the Vice President of the United States.
She won many awards, like the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2017.
