The iPhone 12 is a smartphone made by Apple Inc. released on October 13, 2020. Succeeding the iPhone 11, it has an identical 6.1-inch screen size to its predecessor but also comes in a smaller variant called the iPhone 12 mini, which has a 5.4-inch screen. Both models have dual rear camera lenses and come in storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. It is equipped with the Apple A14 Bionic System-on-Chip (SoC). The iPhone 12 mini starts at US $649, and iPhone 12 starts at US $799.[1][2][3][4][5] The iPhone 12 and 12 mini both include OLED displays. They include USB-C–to–Lightning cables but no power adapter for the first time.[6] Apple included MagSafe in the iPhone 12 family, a magnetic back of the device which allows for magnetic wireless charging and mounting accessories such as a wallet to the back of the phone.[7] The iPhone 12 family is the first series of iPhones to have 5G connectivity.[8] The iPhone 12 and 12 mini are available in white, black, green, blue, and (PRODUCT)RED finishes.[9] The iPhone 12 marks a return to flat edges for the iPhone,[10] first introduced in 2010 with the iPhone 4 until the iPhone 5S (2013), with an exception for the first-generation iPhone SE (2016).
