Place
Gölenkamp is northwest of Nordhorn. It belongs to the Joint Community (Samtgemeinde) of Uelsen, whose administrative seat is in the town of the same name.

The community’s three centres are Gölenkamp, Haftenkamp and Hardinghausen.
