Griselda Blanco

Griselda Blanco Restrepo (February 15, 1943 – September 3, 2012), better known as the Cocaine Godmother, Black Widow and La Madrina, was a Colombian drug lord of the Medellín Cartel. She was also involved in the Miami-based cocaine trafficking and organized crime between the 1980s and 2000s. It has been said that Blanco was responsible for almost 2,000 murders as she was transporting cocaine from Colombia to New York City, Southern California and Miami.[1] On September 3, 2012, she was shot dead at age of sixty-nine.[2]
