Green Boots is the nickname for an unidentified climbed on the Northeast ridge route of Mount Everest. Their body is used as a landmark for the mountain's route and is known for the bright green Koflach climbing boots.[1][2]
There have been different reports of the identity of Green Boots. Some believe that they are a member of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police expedition (ITBP) and some believe that they are Lance Naik Dorje Morup.[3][4]
In 2014, the body of Green Boots was moved by the China Tibet Mountaineering Association.[5]
