Lucia Godoy Alcayaga, known by pen name Gabriela Mistral[1] (7 April 1889 – 10 January 1957) was a Chilean educator, poet, diplomat, and feminist. In 1945, she received the Nobel Prize in Literature. Her best known works include Tala, Desolación, and Lagar.
