Frederick Brennan Karl (May 14, 1924 – March 7, 2013) was an American politician, writer, and lawyer. He served in the Florida House of Representatives, Florida State Senate, and Florida Supreme Court.

Karl was born on May 14, 1924 in Daytona Beach, Florida.[1] He studied at Seabreeze High School, at the University of Florida, and at Stetson University College of Law.
Karl was married to Faye Brooker Karl from 1948 until their divorce in June of 1971. They had four children. He married Mercedes Jensen Proctor in August of 1971. Karl had suffered heart disease, Parkinson's disease, and diabetes.[2] Karl died on March 7, 2013 from heart disease in his home in Tampa, Florida, aged 88.[3]
