Force India Formula One Team Limited or Force India F1 Team, often called Force India was a Formula One motor racing team. The racing team was formed by Indian businessman Vijay Mallya. Mallya bought the Spyker F1 racing team in October 2007, and changed the name to Force India.[1] In 2018, the team had no money left. It entered administration and the name of the team got changed into Racing Point in 2019.[2][3]

Force India was based in Silverstone, UK. Their first season was 2008. They use Mercedes-Benz engines and Bridgestone Potenza tyres. In the 2009 season, they won their first pole and scored their first championship points.[4]
