Daniel Jacob Radcliffe (born 23 July 1989) is an English actor. He rose to fame at age 12 when he began portraying Harry Potter in the film series of the same name. Radcliffe portrayed Potter in all eight films in the series, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and concluding with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011). He won a Tony Award in 2024.

Radcliffe started acting in school plays when he was in primary school. When he was 10 years old, he played the part of the young David Copperfield in the television show David Copperfield.[1]
In 2001, he played Mark Pendel in the movie Tailor of Panama. Later that year, he was chosen to play Harry Potter in the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the United Kingdom). He also played Harry in the other Harry Potter movies.
