Cartier has sold items to celebrities and royalty for many years.[2] Edward VII said that Cartier is "the jeweller of kings and the king of jewellers".[3] For his coronation in 1902, Edward VII ordered 27 tiaras from Cartier.[4] He chose Cartier as a main provider to the royal family in 1904.[5][6]
