Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix is a remix album by Michael Jackson. It was released on May 20, 1997 by Epic Records. It has sold six million copies. Three singles were released from the album. It is the best-selling remix album ever. The album has five new songs. Tracks six to thirteen are remixes of songs from Jackson's album HIStory.
"Blood on the Dance Floor" was released as the album's first single. It reached number one in the UK, Spain, and Denmark. "HIStory/Ghosts" was released as the second single. "Is It Scary" was released as the third single. Jackson wrote the song for the 1993 film Addams Family Values.
The second song on the album, "Morphine", includes Jackson saying 'demerol' many times. Demerol is a drug that was found in Jackson's body after he died.[1]
