Badalona (/ˌbædəˈloʊnə/, Catalan pronunciation: [bəðəˈlonə]) is a municipality to the immediate north east of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It is the third largest city in Catalonia and the twenty-third in Spain. It became a city in 1897.
