Aurich (German pronunciation (help·info); East Frisian Low Saxon: Auerk, West Frisian: Auwerk, Saterland Frisian: Aurk) is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is the capital of the district of Aurich and is the second largest City in East Frisia, both in population, after Emden, and in area, after Wittmund.
