Atlanta Dream

The Atlanta Dream are an American professional basketball team. They are based in Atlanta, Georgia. The team was made in 2008.[6] The Dream plays basketball in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). They are in the WNBA's Eastern Conference. The team is owned by Larry Gottesdiener, Suzanne Abair and Renee Montgomery. Montgomery was a member of the Dream in 2019. The Dream is not related to the Atlanta Hawks, the NBA team that is also in Atlanta.[7][8] When they play basketball in Atlanta, the Dream plays at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.

As of 2023, the team has gone to the WNBA Playoffs eight times. They have gone to the WNBA Finals three times. In 2010, they lost the Finals to the Seattle Storm. In 2011 and 2013, they lost to the Minnesota Lynx.
