Amarinder Singh (born 11 March 1942)[1] is an Indian politician, military historian, former royal and former veteran. He was the 15th Chief Minister of Punjab.[2] He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Patiala.[3]

In 1980, he won a seat in the Lok Sabha for the first time. Singh resigned as the Chief Minister of Punjab on 18 September 2021.[4]
