Alexander I of Scotland
King of the Scots (1078-1124) / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alexander I (medieval Gaelic: Alaxandair mac Maíl Coluim; modern Gaelic: Alasdair mac Mhaol Chaluim; c. 1078—23 April 1124), posthumously nicknamed The Fierce,[1] was the King of Scotland from his older brother's death in January 1107 until his own death in 1124. Because he had no children, his successor was his younger brother, David who became King David I of Scotland after Alexander's death.
