Aken is a town in the Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The town is along the Elbe River. In 2020, the town's population was about 7,400. The history of the town starts in the 12th century. The town has several historic buildings from the Middle Ages. The St. Nicholas and St. Mary churches are the oldest buildings in the town.[3]
