An election happened on November 3, 2020, to elect a Senator from the U.S. state of New Jersey. The three people in the election were Cory Booker (Democratic Party), Rik Mehta (Republican Party) and Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party). There were also two independent people in the election. Cory Booker easily won the election and went back to the senate for a second time.

Two primary elections were held on July 7,2020. There were two people in the Democratic Party primary election and there were five people in the Republican Party primary election. Cory Booker won the Democratic Party primary election and Rik Mehta won the Republican Party primary election.[1]
