Monrupino (slovenski: Repentabor) je najmanja općina (comune) od 880 stanovnika[1] u autonomnoj regiji Furlanija-Julijska krajina u Sjevernoj Italiji.

Teritorij općine se nalazi 3 kilometra od središta Trsta u kraškim brdima[2] iznad grada Trsta, uz granicu sa Slovenijom. Općina Monrupino graniči sa talijanskim općinama Sgoniko (Zgonik) i Trst (Trieste) te sa slovenskom općinom Sežana.
Na teritoriju općine nalazi se dva granična prijelaza prema Sloveniji: Monrupino (Repentabor) – Fernetti (Fernetiči), svojevremeno jedan od najprometnijih u Evropi, te Voglje – Repentabor (Monrupino).
U općini živi većinom slovensko stanovništvo (77,3%) i manjina Talijana (22,7%), prema popisu iz 1971. godine.
Od 2003. i donošenja novog statuta općine, uklonjeni su talijanizirani natpisi Rupingrande i Zolla u selima Repen i Cola, i sad se službeno koriste samo slovenski natpisi.[3]
Općina Monrupino je tradicionalno bila naklonjena ljevici, tokom 1950-ih i 1960-ih bila je dio "crvenog pojasa" oko Trsta, u kojem su tradicionalno na izborima pobjeđivali komunisti.[4] Na prvim posljeratnim izborima u junu 1949. u tadašnjem Slobodnom Teritoriju Trsta komunisti su dobili 97% glasova.
