This amunts tae 8.8% o the state's population.^[3] The municipality's population density is 224.56 inhabitants per square kilometre (581.6/sq mi).^[4]

Govrenment

The mayor o the Zamora Municipality is Aldo Lovera, electit on 23 November 2008 wi 55% o the vote.^[5] He replacit Stefano Mangione shortly efter the elections. The municipality is dividit intae five pairishes; Capital Zamora, Magdaleno, San Francisco de Asís, Valles de Tucutunemo, an Augusto Mijares (separatit frae San Francisco de Asís parish effective 16/12/97).^[2]
